2019 State Legislative Day

JOIN US FOR MICHIGAN PIA’S UNIQUE COMBINATION OF WHAT’S NEW IN PIP, A CE CLASS ON CLAIMS AND COVERAGES, AND LUNCH!!!

We at the Michigan PIA are dedicated to the fight involving all things important to our agents, and what’s more cutting edge than the new bill that’s being developed in the House to address the high cost of Michigan Auto Insurance.  Please join us on Thursday, May 9th from 9 a.m. to Noon, with lunch to follow provided by the PIA!  Here’s the agenda for the day:

Schedule

8:00 – 9:00 – Registration, continental breakfast

9:00 – 10:00  – Industry panel on PIP

10:15 – 12:15 – Unique/Real Claims and How Coverage Did or Did Not Respond – Course #77341

12:15 – 1:00 – Lunch

This year’s event will be at the Mackinaw Room in the Anderson House Office Building across from the Capitol.  Our panel will include not only insurance company executives, but House Insurance Chair Jason Wentworth (R-Clare), former Lieutenant Governor and current SBAM President Brian Calley, and Representative Roger Hauck (R-Mt Pleasant) currently scheduled to take part.  Rep Wentworth is at the head of the committee designing and implementing the new changes to the upcoming PIP reform legislation.

If you’re able to attend, or would like to submit a question, please email Lynn from the PIA at lszefi@mipia.com and we will compile a list.  PLEASE INDICATE IF YOU CAN ATTEND LUNCH.

The PIA feels that this event is of utmost importance to the industry, and provides this at no cost as a value to our membership!  Please circle that date on your calendar and join us in Lansing!
